Back in 2014, the senior management team of Grange Solar, under a different employer, designed and installed a 600kWp solar PV system for Ransfords Sawmill in Bishops Castle, Shropshire. Ransfords, who operate one of the industry’s leading and most efficient sawmills in the UK and Ireland, identified the need for additional solar PV on their mill. Ransfords asked that same management team in Grange Solar to design and install an additional 700kWp solar to meet more of their daytime energy requirements. This system is now installed and fully operational, helping to reduce Ransford’s operating costs and carbon footprint.
